Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has admitted he was left confused by Gabriel Jesus’ non-celebration following his side’s late goal vs Wolves. The Gunners continued their title push by beating the Premier League’s bottom club 2-1.
Arsenal had opened the scoring through a Sam Johnstone own-goal, only for Tolu Arokodare to equalise late on. But Mikel Arteta’s side still had one final flourish up their sleeves as Yerson Mosquera inadvertently nodded home Saka’s late cross to seal a dramatic victory.
It initially appeared as though Brazilian forward Jesus had gotten the decisive touch, with Saka left scratching his head at the striker’s lack of celebration. Speaking after his side’s win, the England man said: “It was an amazing feeling to be fair.
“I didn't know why Gabby [Jesus] wasn't celebrating, I thought he scored, but I think it was an own goal. Still, it was an amazing feeling to win in the last minute. It's been us that have conceded in the last minute on a few occasions this season, so tonight it's nice that we're on the other side of it.

Also, we're at the Emirates and we need to make teams understand that coming here is going to be tough. I think we've shown that this season and we showed that again tonight.
“Obviously I'm happy with the three points, but a bit disappointed with how we played and how the outcome was almost us dropping points, but we didn't, so let's take the points and move forward.”
Arsenal’s win against Wolves leaves them five points clear at the top of the Premier League, albeit Manchester City could reduce that advantage against Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Gunners now have a week to wait until their next game, with a trip to Everton set to come next weekend.

And Saka is appreciative of the break amid a hectic run of fixtures. He added: “It's going to be nice, It's been a really, really busy schedule. Credit to all the boys and the staff because we've been so intense, but we've been on it and we've had some amazing results.
“It's nice that we have a bit of a break, but it's not time to relax, it's just a time to reset a bit and then go again next week in the training sessions and be ready for Everton.”
