Cristiano Ronaldo was in attendance as Rafael Nadal beat Simone Bolelli in straight sets at the Madrid Open on Thursday.
Ronaldo was joined by Real Madrid teammates Toni Kroos and Pepe as they attempted to put their 2-1 Champions League semi-final defeat behind them.
Nadal, a four-time winner of the competition, will now play 10th seed Grigor Dimitrov - who beat Sanislas Wawrinka - in the quarter-finals.
Spanish star Nadal is, remarkably, yet to win a European clay court tournament this season, but judging by his performance against Bolelli, that may not be the case for much longer.
The tournament top seed broke Bolelli four times and never really looked in danger in front of the home fans.
Ronaldo and his teammates will be hoping to enjoy a similar performance when they host Juventus at the Bernabeu next week.
