Rovers had full-back Gary Sawyer sent off for a second bookable offence 20 minutes from time and owed their draw to on-loan Reading shot-stopper Andersen, who thwarted Myles Weston, Charlie MacDonald and Nicky Adams.

β€œMikkel Andersen is a very good goalkeeper with a big future. We caught him at his best,” said Scott.

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope was disappointed his side could not build on a solid first-half display.

β€œOur first half performance was our best at home this season,” he said. β€œThe passing was great.”
