GARETH EVANS scored twice to inflict a morale-sapping defeat on 10-man Northampton.

Town needed the points to propel themselves into the top seven and went close early on when Ryan Gilligan tested Jon McLaughlin.
β
Peter Taylorβs team struggled but they took a shock lead thanks to Evans, who unleashed a superb volley into the top corner.
And the Cobblers were left reeling when Dean Beckwith saw red for a foul on Leon Osborne.
Bradford looked the more likely to score with the extra man. Evans doubled the lead late on with another volley on a day which marked the 25th anniversary of the Valley Parade fire which claimed the lives of 56 people.
