CRAIG SHORT admitted his Notts County side had dodged a bullet following this remarkable comeback.
โ
County trailed 3-1 after 90 minutes, but stoppage-time goals from Craig Westcarr and Kevin Smith rescued an unlikely point.
โ
Ben Burgess had given the visitors hope in the first half after Josh McQuoidโs brace and a strike from Anton Robinson had put Bournemouth in control.
โ
Short said: โWe know we werenโt good enough and got lucky. I know sometimes you need a bit of luck, but we canโt keep relying on it.
โWe are not jumping for joy โ we know we got away with it. We were playing a team in form, but we still have to start better than that.โ
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was left to rue his sideโs late defensive lapses.
โWe have made some poor decisions and that has cost us,โ he said. โI didnโt think we played well really, even in the first half. But when you are 3-0 up you take it. We just went a little bit ragged in the last 10 minutes. We should have seen it out.โ
