Bolton veteran Andy O’Brien wants to go on loan for regular first-team football – despite being part of boss Owen Coyle’s plans. The defender, 31, is keen to move but Coyle wants to offload centre-half Danny Shittu instead. Meanwhile, Trotters winger Danny Ward, 18, should complete a loan move to Millwall this week. He is finalising an extended contract at the Reebok Stadium and will then be sent out to gain first-team experience.
