This unlucky basketball fan proves why checking your phone mid-game is never a good idea.
The woman in the clip was left red-faced and bloody-nosed after the rogue basketball hit her square in the face during a match broadcast on live television.
Completely unaware that the ball was flying towards her, the spectator was engrossed in her pal's smartphone - until the ball hit her hard, knocking her glasses off and busting her nose.

The unfortunate lady can later be seen pressing a tissue to her nose, which appears to have started bleeding after the impact.
Fans were left wincing after the woman's injury was broadcast live in yesterday's game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Sacramento Kings.
Hopefully the woman has learned her lesson - basketball and smartphones just don't mix.
