'Bridezilla' slammed for banning bridesmaid from wearing her much-needed glasses - The Mirror

A woman has taken to Reddit to share how a group of bridesmaids staged a mass walk out at a wedding after the bride tried to stop one of them from wearing her glasses

A woman has been branded a "bridezilla" after banning her bridesmaid from wearing glasses because it would 'ruin everything'. It was explained how "glasses girl" agreed to remove her specs during the vows and pictures, despite knowing she wouldn't be able to see a single thing without them.

However, this wasn't good enough for the bride, who wanted her to keep them off throughout the entire day. A friend of the maid-of-honour said on Reddit: "[The bride] suddenly had a problem with one girl who wore glasses, which she didn't have an issue with beforehand.

"The glasses girl told her she wouldn't wear them during the vows and pictures but the bridezilla didn't want her wearing them at all.

"She was screaming at her to not put them on for the rest of the day, obviously she couldn't do that since she needs to see."

After the argument escalated, the bride gave her the ultimatum to either take them off and keep them off or leave the wedding altogether.

She said: "This is when the maid-of-honour and the other bridesmaids stepped in and told bridezilla she was out of line.

"They [said they] would all leave if she forced the girl with glasses to leave.

"Bridezilla called their bluff and they left the wedding and decided to celebrate and eat at a restaurant before they headed back home."

Wanting them back, the bride tried to call them several times saying she no longer cared about the glasses and just wanted them to rejoin the wedding.

However, they wouldn't budge.

"They not only refused but also chose to end the friendship with her all together," she added.

"[The maid-of-honour] said that the wedding proceeded, just minus the bridesmaids and a few awkward stares because everyone heard the bridezilla's screaming from earlier.

"She told me that the bridezilla has always been like this, throwing a tantrum when she doesn't get her way, and that the meltdown at the wedding was just the last straw for them."

While some users shared their shock over the bride's demands, others showed their support toward the bridesmaids and the point they made by walking out.

One user said: "The bridezilla got exactly what she deserved. Kudos to the bridesmaids for sticking together."

Another user added: "Wow! I wish I'd been there to see that. This action is truly epic and the bridezilla absolutely deserved it."

A third user said: "It's good to see a bridezilla get what she deserves. Actions have consequences and she hopefully learned her lesson. If not, then she is going to be a miserable person. You reap what you sow."

One more user added: "Oh, LOOK...the consequences of your actions."
