This is the chilling moment a man dressed as It the clown terrorises young trick-or-treaters at his door.

The Scottish Halloween fan slinks out of his house before leaping on a wall and quizzing the children in a creepy voice.

Behind him stands one of his vitims β€œGeorgie”, dressed in a yellow raincoat and carrying a red balloon.

β€Œ

Pennywise then asks one young girl dressed as a smurf if she likes balloons, the clowns or the circus before laughing manically and shouting one of the most famous lines from the film It: β€œWe all float down here!”

The spooky clip has since gone viral and has racked up nearly seven million views.

The clown’s house, in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, was also impressively bedecked with frightening decorations.

The man who filmed the scary footage, Rab Hamlyn, posted it on Facebook with the caption: "Happy Halloween. That house with IT was mad."
