A TikTok star has shared a video of him rushing to catch the tube and then having a star struck chat with Prince William and Kate after bumping into them.

β€Œ

In the build up to the King’s Coronation on Saturday, the Prince of Wales and Kate paid a visit to a London pub using the Elizabeth Line, named after the late Queen, to Tottenham Court Road in Soho.

β€Œ

After the roughly 20-minute journey, in which William "confidently" used his Oyster card, they visited the Dog and Duck pub, where they both ordered a pint of cider.

β€Œ

And on the trip out to London they met TikTok star Francis Bourgeois, whose real name is Luke Nicolson, and he made an entertaining video of the experience.

In the short clip, the 22-year-old was first walking through Tottenham Court Road station wearing a GoPro.

He then said: β€œHave you ever found yourself at Tottenham Court station wanting to go Eastbound and the train you're wanting to get is ready to go?

β€œWell, me too. Pretty much every time.”

At that point Luke was seen running flat out to catch the tube and making it just in time.

β€Œ

He then is filmed sitting down, catching his breath, when William and Kate suddenly walk by as they prepared to leave the tube.

β€Œ

Kate, wearing a Eponine coat and holding a white Mulberry bag, went to shake his hand and said: β€œVery nice to meet you.”

He then also greets William saying: "Hi, eh, nice to meet you. I hope you enjoyed the Elizabeth Line.”

β€Œ

And William said: β€œ'We have, it's been good. Have a good day. See you later.”

Then with his face showing shock at meeting the royals, Luke said β€œcheerio” and sat back down again.

He posted the video on social media captioning it: 'The Elizabeth Line sprint at Tottenham Court Road is quite enjoyable once you get used to it!'

β€Œ

And William and Kate replied on their official account with a waving emoji and β€œnice to see you”.

Luke has a 2.9 million followers on TikTok and the meeting was a bid by the royals to reach out to a younger generation and it seemed to work with his video receiving more than 93,000 likes.

There were plenty of comments as well with one person writing: "Will and Kate were so lucky to meet you!" and another joked: "Can't believe Will and Kate got to meet royalty!!!"
