RANGERS boss Paul Le Guen stripped Barry Ferguson of the captaincy yesterday, put him on the transfer list and axed him from the team following a dressing-room bust-up.

The 28-year-old looks to have played his last game for the club after clashing with Le Guen over his role in a team that has flopped disastrously this season.

But pushing the fans' favourite towards the exit door will have enraged the Ibrox faithful.

Rangers travel to Motherwell today with Gavin Rae as skipper, despite the defender's lack of first team appearances this season.
