As soon as the festive season approaches, the Mirror's beauty team go on a mission to review the best beauty advent calendars - and the latest Glossybox offering is certainly worth getting excited about. I took a look at this year's festive countdown from the popular beauty subscription retailer to find out if it's worth the price.
The Glossybox Advent Calendar retails for £85, but subscribers can get it for £70. There are £585 worth of beauty treats inside, so you'll be saving a whopping £515 compared to buying everything separately. Each of the 25 boxes is packed neatly into three drawers.
What had me swooning the most about this spectacular set was that some days are filled with more than one product, providing a total of 29 items altogether. Inside are 18 full size and 12 deluxe size goodies - including best-sellers that you'll no doubt want to use right away.

The design of this calendar is so luxurious with pastel marble patterns, metallic gold details and pink ribbons. I would have been more delighted if it featured some festive packaging, but that wasn't a deal-breaker for me. The smaller boxes inside are filled with pink paper shavings.
One downside, in my opinion, is how big and heavy the calendar is - as those with a small space might have an issue with this. However, that didn't remove the fun of opening up the boxes inside. Plus you can reuse the main box for storage after Christmas.
Now, moving on to the contents. As a huge skincare fan, I was delighted to see Medik8 featured in this Glossybox limited edition. Worth £45, the Hydr8 B5 serum is incredibly lightweight and suitable for all skin types. It immediately floods the complexion with hydration.
There are plenty of must-have delights for your makeup bag, too, including Pixi's LipGlow in shade 'Fleur'. I was impressed by how nourishing this tinted balm felt on the lips, not to mention the subtle pink shade is undeniably dreamy.
The cold weather means it's important to make sure the skin all over your body is cared for, and Glossybox has got us covered (quite literally) with the Aveeno Skin Relief Body Oil Spray, as well as a mini version of Rituals' Ayurveda Body Lotion. My favourite was the Rituals offering, which had a sweet aroma of Indian rose.
