'Impressive suction for a cordless unit'

Shoppers are singing the praises of a Hoover cordless vacuum cleaner that's got a £130 reduction for Black Friday. The Hoover HF4 Hydro Pet is being hailed for its 'impressive suction' and versatility, and it's now available for £189, down from £319. However, with code REACH-HYDRO, the vacuum is brought down to £139 until December 1.

The Hoover H4F Hydro Pet has up to 30 minutes of runtime in Standard mode and 60 minutes in Handheld Eco mode. The device can be used to clean carpets, hard floors or the inside of cars, too.

Thanks to an efficient power management system and a powerful brushless motor, the HF4 delivers up to 100 AW of suction in Turbo Handheld mode. This can be used on stubborn dust and dirt alongside a vacuum nozzle engineered for deep cleaning on carpets and hard floors, while the new Hydro nozzle allows shoppers to mop their kitchen, bathroom or hard floor.

Two rotating and one front vibrating cloths work together to tackle stuck-on dirt. The removable water tank lets shoppers adjust the flow across three settings, and the mop pads are machine washable at 40 degrees.

The extra pet tools include the motorised mini power, which removes dog and cat hairs from cushions and fabrics, while the Anti Hair Wrap technology prevents hair from tangling around the brush bar. The floor nozzle is designed for manoeuvrability, reaching corners and edges, and the LED lights illuminate even the finest dust in the darkest areas, the brand says.

HF4 also offers versatility in cleaning modes, including Standard, Turbo and Eco, so users can balance performance with runtime, depending on the task. The intuitive display gives control at the fingertips, allowing users to see alerts and the remaining battery charge.

Another popular option to buy is the Dyson V11 Extra Vacuum for £348, down from £499.99, on Dyson's site. This offers up to 60 minutes of run time, as well as an LCD screen for real-time updates, and it can detangle hair.

Amazon also has the Shark Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaner for £173.70 in a limited-time deal, down from £299.99. This vacuum has anti-hair wrap technology, which can remove hair from the brush roll as people clean, and it is also suitable for all floor types as it has two motorised brush rolls in one floorhead and LED highlights that illuminate hidden dust and pet hair.

Buyers of the Hoover HF4 left their reviews of the product. One person said: "Well this thing is just marvellous, held off leaving a review until I had it for a couple of weeks. The hand held with the light, super easy, car attachments, down the side of the seat, sparkling, then we have the mop, game changer, slow and steady, shape of the head, nicely into corners, I would have paid for this alone, simples, does a great job. I have limited arm movement, used to be hands and knees job to wash floors, not now, only time I will is when scrubbing the grout lines, oh and must say the swivel on the head, is so good, have to remember, so I don’t fall off it, this is definitely worth it for me."

A second person said: "Impressive suction for a cordless unit - picks up way more than my other stick vac. Love the mop feature - not the fastest but quite therapeutic and the end result is great. I've recommended the H4F Hydro Pet to my daughter (who has two kids, three cats and a husband that likes to walk in the backdoor with his football boots on) as it's versatile, manoeuvrable and gets the job done! Very happy with the purchase."

However, someone did have a problem with the weight, saying: "Really effective replacement for my previous one that lasted many years (with replacement parts - dust collector got broken when it was dropped). Hoping this one lasts as long. Quite a bit heavier but also has more functions and a larger dust bin so to be expected. Anti wrap head works well with all the dog hair and dust bin is much easier to empty. Very pleased!"

Most people were impressed, however, as this person said: "Due to mobility issues, I had to consider a cordless vacuum cleaner and this one is perfect. In particular I like how easy it is to move from upstairs to downstairs. Like the LED light, really shocked what I had missed with my old vacuum cleaner!"
