Those wanting to invite a bit of festive cheer this season with a new set of Christmas lights might be in luck with savings from Argos. The Habitat Christmas Icicle Lights are on sale and shoppers are raving about the 'festive feeling they add.
Currently priced at £25, down from £40, these lights bring a unique design. Totalling 960 lights, they're controllable with a total of eight settings, including gently twinkling and static.
The full length of the LEDs is 17.72m, so there's plenty to brighten up a room, or outside, as these are suitable for either use - although the brand recommends storing the transformer and plug indoors.

The included 5-metre power lead means there's plenty of manoeuvrability to set the lights exactly where shoppers want them. With only eight centimetres between bulbs, there's a full and bright effect in 'icicle white', according to the brand, while the clear-coloured cable blends in with the background, allowing the lights to shine.
As an alternative, buyers could check out the GYLEFY Icicle Outdoor Christmas Lights from Amazon. Currently priced at £43.99, down from £49.99, saving a handy 12%, these are IP65 waterproof, meaning they’re ideal for outdoor use. With 720 LEDs, four brightness and eight light settings, these feature a water-resistant plug, too.

Those who prefer traditional string lights might want to check out Dunelm's 600 Warm White LED Clear Cable String Lights, currently priced at £20. With 'a soft festive glow', the brand says, this features 600 warm white LEDs, multiple lighting settings and an in-built timer to automatically switch them on or off.
Back to the Habitat Icicle Lights, Argos shoppers loved the look. One shopper said: "Bought these a couple of weeks ago! They’re so pretty and elegant, bringing the festive feeling to my home.”
Another added: "Needing a new set of outdoor lights, we purchased these. Unwrapping, fitting and lighting up took just under an hour. They look amazing when lit. So glad we purchased them…"
A third said: "Reached such a long way and had a good amount of cable on before the lights start. Super bright as well."
One shopper reminded buyers that hanging hooks are sold separately. They said: "I'm really pleased with these lights, which are nice and bright but take very little electricity to run. My only minor criticism is that you need to buy hanging hooks separately."
Another found the lights hung a bit low, they said: "They are easy to use and set up. They look great but they are fairly long so, if you live in a bungalow, you might find they hit your head."
