Many would argue that chocolate is a major part of Christmas, but stocking up can quickly become expensive. Looking for deals can help lower expenses, and one offer available currently at Amazon may help people spread the cost ahead of December 25.

The online retailer is selling a Cadbury Heroes Chocolate Bulk Share Box, which weighs in at 2kg and features all nine classic treats in bite-sized form, including Dairy Milk, Crunchie, and Fudge. Normally, the box is sold for £27.88, but it has been cut down to £20.34 as part of the Early Black Friday sale.

According to Amazon, the deal will be in place until December 1, giving shoppers just under two weeks to take advantage of the 27% discount. Amazon calls it the "ultimate sharing pack" that it says is 'great for parties and celebrations'.

Cadbury adds that the variety in each pack means that there is "something for every chocolate lover". Shoppers looking to satisfy their chocolate cravings this Christmas can find similar brands sold in bulk, such as the Heroes box.

Amazon has a deal on a 1.4kg Celebrations tube, including Maltesers, Galaxy, Snickers, and more, for £19.70. Alternatively, Lindt fans can purchase a 1kg bag of the popular Milk Chocolate Truffles for £30.

But the Heroes bundle has proven popular with over 33,000 Amazon shoppers. One said: "The Cadbury Heroes Bulk Share Box has become something of a Christmas tradition in our family - a dependable favourite that appears every year ahead of the holidays. The variety helps to avoid the usual favourites disappearing too quickly, and the mini-size pieces make them perfect for passing around or keeping on the table after dinner."

Another wrote: "Buying this box for staff rewards saved me buying tubs in bulk from the supermarket. Total number of chocolates in my box was 219." A third put: "My husband and I are both chocoholics and 10 days since opening this box we are still munching our way through it. Really good value for money, much cheaper than buying the tubs!"

The bundle did have a few critics, as one claimed the box "arrived damaged" meaning it wasn't able to be given as a gift and others felt their assortment was a little unbalanced. A third review claimed: "Poor best before date. Purchased this previously in December with the best-before date in June. Purchased again in March with the best-before date in June. This is unacceptable when considering the quantity of the product."

However, the majority praised the quality of the package. One more five-star reviewer posted: "Presenting these sweets in a box might not be as posh as in a fancy tin, but getting more sweets for a similar price was worth that." Another shared: "Good price for the box, plenty of chocolates, good value for the price and very quick delivery. Enjoyed by everyone."

Heroes has undergone a major change this year, with the Eclairs being replaced by a Cadbury Flake in certain packs. The chocolate giant began a trial in select Tesco stores where Eclairs were removed from new paper tubs and replaced with the Cadbury Flake. The standard plastic tubs of Cadbury Heroes still contain the Eclair, as will this major 2kg assortment.
