Time is running out to get a significant discount on your fuel before the start of a New Year

Drivers across the UK only have a few hours left to get a significant discount on their fuel at one of Britain's largest supermarkets. Throughout the winter holidays, drivers were offered 3p off every litre of fuel they use to fill up their car.
However, Asda Express stores that contain a petrol station will soon get rid of the deal today (December 31). Customers can take advantage of the deal by making a purchase of at least £15 at any of the 488 Asda Express stores across the country.
The majority of the stores are open from 6am to 11pm each day, and at once they close for the New Year, the deal will be removed. Fortunately, there is still a good few hours left in the day to head to nearest eligible fuel pump to save some money on filling up your car.
Joseph Sutton, Vice President of Asda Express, foodservice and fuel, previously said: "We know every penny matters for our customers. This offer gives people a little extra help – letting them save on fuel while offering unbeatable value as they stock up on everyday essentials or festive treats in the run-up to Christmas.”
How to claim the money off your fuel
In order to receive the discount on your fuel, you first need to fill up your car at a fuel station attached to an Asda Express. Then, when you head into the store, make a purchase of £15 or more within an Asda Express store.
There are no restrictions on which items are needed to make up the purchase so you can use the opportunity to grab some extra bits for any New Year's Eve events your planning on attending tonight. Once you have made the purchase, money will be taken off automatically for whatever you used for filling up your car.
Asda has also not announced any restrictions on which fuel types are eligible, so you can get a discount on both Unleaded (E10) petrol and diesel. Keep in mind that it is rare for Asda Express petrol stations to stock Super Unleaded or Premium Diesel, if that's what you prefer to fill up in your car.
