The absence of key players like Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka has been keenly felt, and the recent loss of William Saliba during their clash with Aston Villa adds to their challenges. Domestically, their form is faltering with just one win in their last five matches—a victory that came in the local derby against Tottenham.
On the other hand, Dinamo Zagreb enter this match without having played an official game for nearly a month due to the Croatian league's winter break. This pause might actually work in their favour as they seek to improve upon a dismal recent record of just three wins in their last ten outings across all competitions. Notably, one of these victories was a Champions League triumph over Slovan Bratislava.
Dinamo have shown resilience in the competition's early rounds, securing a win against Salzburg and most recently holding Celtic to a goalless draw at home. They do stand seven points from the top of their domestic league and hanging on to the final play-off spot with an inferior goal difference but the club have put in solid performances on the European stage despite results going the other way.
