Francis Ngannou is a Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist (MMA) who competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born on September 5, 1986, Ngannou is widely known for his exceptional striking power and has gained recognition as one of the most formidable heavyweights in the sport.
Ngannou initially gained attention for his powerful performances and knockout victories, which earned him a shot at the UFC Heavyweight Championship. He fought against Stipe Miocic for the title but was unsuccessful in his first attempt in January 2018. However, Ngannou continued to showcase his skills and improved his overall game.
He switched over to boxing to fight WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in October 2023 but lost a closely fought encounter on points. He then scheduled in a fight with Anthony Joshua in March, 2024, based in Saudi Arabia.
