What do we know about the death of JFK's granddaughter Tatiana Schlossberg?
- Tatiana Schlossberg, the granddaughter of John F Kennedy, has died aged 35. It comes just weeks after Tatiana confirmed she had been diagnosed with blood cancer in May 2024
- To the world, Tatiana was probably best known as the granddaughter of former US President John F Kennedy, who was infamously assassinated during his leadership some 27 years before Tatiana was born. But during her short life, Tatiana worked as an environmental journalist and author and was employed by The New York Times.
- She married George Moran in 2017, and they went on to have a son, Edwin, in 2022, and a daughter, Josephine, in 2024. Tragically, doctors only discovered that Tatiana had been battling acute myeloid leukaemia following routine blood tests after she gave birth to her second child.
- The cancer, which affects both the bone marrow and blood, is rare, with just four in 100,000 receiving a diagnosis each year. Prior to her death, Tatiana had penned an essay in the New Yorker titled Battle With My Blood, where she revealed that she had undergone all common treatments.
- In a statement shared on the JFK Library Foundation's Instagram account, her family said: "Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts."
