Simon Cowell 's girlfriend, Lauren Silverman , 40, is currently jetting back to London to be by her partner's side after he was rushed to hospital this morning after an accident at his home.

The mother of his three-year-old son, Eric, was in New York visiting her older son, Adam Silverman, when she was informed of Simon's fall earlier today.

Simon received a CAT scan earlier this morning, and is waiting to receive more tests, but it's believed he's in a stable condition.

It comes after 58-year-old Simon was seen being taken out of his mansion in a neck brace after the accident early this morning, according to The Sun.

It is thought the X Factor mogul fainted and fell down the stairs after fetching a cup of hot milk.

Sources said: “It’s been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep.

“An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace surrounded by worried aides.”

It is the first X Factor live show this weekend, kicking off on Saturday.

It comes after this year's X Factor's wildcards were finally revealed.

Four acts will get a second chance to make the live rounds.

Talia Dean, Leon Mallet, Alisah Bonaobra and Simon's act Jack and Joel are all going to be returning, reported The Sun.

"After voting closed on Monday, Leon, Alisah, Jack and Joel and Talia were told they’d nabbed the four remaining spots," a source told the newspaper.

"They’ve all been favourites throughout the season, and as we’ve seen in years previously, could well go on to be the show’s most memorable acts.

"They’re all beyond excited and are working tirelessly to prove viewers got it right and that they are worthy of a spot.”

The wildcards will join the rest of the hopefuls this weekend for the first live show.

But it remains to be seen whether Simon will be there too.
