Former Atomic Kitten singer Brian McFadden has taken a brutal swipe at her ex-husband Brian McFadden, insisting that he was the 'worst thing' she ever had in her mouth

Kerry Katona took a crude swipe at ex-husband Brian McFadden, saying he has been the worst thing she put in her mouth' - despite gobbling down the most intimate parts of animals in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

Although the former Atomic Kitten star may have swallowed everything from maggots to eyeballs and kangaroo testicles while in the jungle, the singer turned reality TV star has insisted that her ex-husband, former Westlife star Brian McFadden was the thing she 'most regretted swallowing'.

During an appearance on Back Then When podcast with Keith Lemon and Lucie Cave, Kerry was asked: “You probably put a lot of awful things in your mouth, but what's the worst thing you put your mouth in the jungle?”

To which she cheekily responded: “I was going to say Brian McFadden.”

Kerry, 42, was crowned Queen of the jungle in 2004, and although she quickly became the most loved personality in the UK and beyond, the mum-of-five also described it as the worst year of her life.

Reminiscing on her bittersweet year in 2004, Kerry confessed: “2004 was the most amazing year and also the worst year. I got out the jungle and my husband number one was there – honest to God Keith, I’ve got to google it half of the time. I say to the kids ‘who do you belong to?’

“Father’s Day outside my house is a nightmare, you can’t get car park space anywhere, honestly," the former singer joked.

Kerry's latest swipe at her ex-husband Brian comes after she claimed that former Westlife singer is a better dad to his new baby than he ever was to their children.

Brian, 42, welcomed his daughter Ruby in May 2021 with fiancée Danielle Parkinson.

The Irish singer keep fans up-to-date as he gushes over the adorable tot on social media - but it seems like that Kerry thinks only one thing when she sees the photos.

The Atomic Kitten, who shares daughters Molly, 21, and Lilly, 19, with ex Brian, says he's a 'better dad now' to his baby daughter Ruby than he was to her girls.

Discussing her feelings towards her ex, Kerry, 42, also mum to Heidi, 15, Max, 14, and DJ, eight, says even he would accept he wasn't there as much as he should have been.

She told OK! Magazine : "The older the girls have got, the more of a relationship they’ve had with Brian.

"That’s not me slagging him off, he’ll admit that himself. He’s a better dad now to Ruby and I think that hurts the girls.

"We all change. He’s older, with more patience, and I feel he is doing it better this time around – which is great. But that doesn’t stop the hurt my girls feel because of that."
