TV host Jeremy Clarkson has confessed that he will forever remain tight-lipped about his infamous departure from the BBC after a fracas with a producer. Despite the incident, Jeremy's career has soared since he parted ways with the corporation a decade ago.

Peter Fincham, who works on Clarkson's Farm, recently expressed to the Telegraph his belief that the BBC made a "straightforward mistake" in letting Jeremy go after the punch, effectively handing him over to Amazon Prime.

Now 65, Clarkson is steadfast in his decision not to discuss the events of 10 years ago.

In conversation with the Telegraph, Jeremy remarked: "Everyone's got an opinion of those times and those days. I have never talked about it and I never will."

Jeremy helmed Top Gear alongside mates Richard Hammond and James May from 2002 until 2015, when the show was rocked by claims of Jeremy's verbal and physical misconduct towards producer Oisin Tymon, reports Gloucestershire Live.

The trio subsequently took to Amazon Prime with their motoring series The Grand Tour, while Clarkson's agricultural venture, Clarkson's Farm, has become a runaway success. Jeremy also starred as the host of the rebooted Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

In a startling revelation, Jeremy disclosed that he was perilously close to suffering a life-threatening heart attack, having faced a serious health scare last year.

He underwent urgent heart surgery to have two stents inserted last October. Describing the ordeal, Jeremy recounted waking up feeling "clammy", experiencing chest tightness and pins and needles in his left arm.

The celebrity opened up about a health scare, saying, "It wasn't a heart attack, but I was hours away from one."

In an interview with the Telegraph, he admitted, "All of the vessels feeding the heart with blood looked like something dangling from a cave in the Peak District. They were just ruined."

He also revealed: "One of them was 90 per cent blocked. I didn't feel very well one morning. But everybody seems to agree it was the result of 60 years of really bad living, and of two weeks of ridiculous stress and no sleep."

The 65 year old sought medical attention at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where tests initially ruled out a heart attack but confirmed his precarious health state.

This incident led to Jeremy completely overhauling his lifestyle on doctors' advice - including ditching processed food and playing pickleball, which is akin to tennis but involves a smaller court.

Despite adopting a new 'mono diet', the TV host still indulges in the odd glass of rosé wine.

Fans eagerly tuned into the fourth series of Clarkson's Farm, which premiered on Amazon Prime on Friday (May 23).
