Hulk Hogan's wife details health woes in heartbreaking tribute

Just five days before Hulk Hogan's death, his ex-wife Linda Hogan, who he was married to for nearly 26 years, looked back on their life together.

Linda, 65, shared a throwback photo of the pair together and wrote in the caption: "The good old days !" In the wake of Hulk's death, fans have commented on the post to share their condolences.

One pointed out the coincidence as they penned: "Did you have a premonition? Crazy how you just posted this". Another added: "Sorry for your loss. I know you guys weren’t together, but I know you once had a life with him and he gave you two beautiful children." And a third said: "I'm so sorry Linda, I know you guys were not together, but we're my favorite couple like soulmates."

Hulk Hogan's wife Sky Daily Hogan, who married the WWE star in 2023, has said her 'heart is in pieces' as she broke her silence over the death of her husband.

Sky took to her Instagram page to share her shock and sadness over the "sudden loss", which she said is "impossible to process". In the tribute, she went into some detail about his health woes in the lead up to his death.

As she posted a photo of herself planting a sweet kiss on a smiling Hulk's cheek, she shared her heartache over the death of her beloved husband. She penned in the caption: "I wasn’t ready for this and my heart is in pieces.

It's been revealed that Hulk Hogan spent his final weeks battling health issues and building bridges with loved ones before his death.

A source said that the former WWE superstar had long been battling a “very weak heart” and had deteriorated significantly in recent weeks.

"Over his last few weeks, he was suffering from shortness of breath, becoming tired easily,” the insider said. "He also began to lose weight, which made him look frail. Terry knew he wasn’t in a good way."

Sylvester Stallone has paid tribute to Hulk Hogan and recalls their first meeting in the early 1980s and filming together for movie Rocky III, in which Hulk played the role of Thunderlips.

Branding the wrestling star a "force to be reckoned with" the Rocky star said of filming the Rocky III scenes: "This fella was very... he was just at the beginning of his career, he hadn't quite come into his own yet so we got him at a point where he was so enthusiastic and I remember he was immense, he was probably about 315lbs (22st 5lbs) but very smart. He had this deep, claming voice. And he was willing to do anything that would make the show better."

Sly added to TMZ: "At first no one wanted him because they said he was too big – that was the whole point it's like David and Goliath, the bigger the better. And he showed up in magnificent shape. The thing was, we started to roll around and he would literally pick me up and drop me to the ground. I figured I'm gonna be literally pulp by the time I land and yet he would always break the fall and do things you wouldn't see like a magaician."

The movie star said Hulk's death was a "tragic loss" and called the wrestling icon "irreplaceable".

It's been reported that medical first responders worked on Hulk for 30 minutes as they tried to save the WWE star's life.

Emergency services recieved a call at 9.51am local time on Thursday morning, first responders were dispatched to his home and medical staff arrived at 9.56am and police arrived at 10.23am.

Paramedics worked on the star before taking him to hospital at 10.32am before he was saldy pronounced dead at 11.17am.

Despite his strained relationship with his daughter Brooke, the wrestling star had an 'extremely close' bond with his son Nick.

Weeks before his father's shock death, Nick took to his Intsagram to share a sweet tribute to Hulk on Father's Day. Posting a throwback photo of Nick as a child dressed in his dad's signature red and yellow wrestling colours and posing with his arms flexed in front of his dad, the star's son wronte in the caption: "Had a great Father’s Day with the goat! Happy Father’s Day to all the awesome dads!"

Tragically, the post is Nick's last Instagram grid share before his dad's sad death.

Hulk Hogan and his daughter Brooke were estranged for eight years before his death.

Just a few months before his death yesterday, 37-year-old Brooke revealed she was not on talking terms with her dad or her mum, Linda.

While Hulk's ex-wife Linda claimed Hulk had caused the family feud, but Brooke later hit back and shared more details about her strained relationship with her parents.

The precise reason for the breakdown in Brooke and Hulk's relationship remains undisclosed. However, Brooke posted on social media about the family drama.

The social media post by Brooke claimed: "I’ve repeatedly held my hand out to help them, only to have them pull me into the darkness with them. I’ve set boundaries that were not respected, and at this point, I can truly do no more.

"Each individual, on their own, has given me more than enough reasons over the years to make this extremely hard and painful decision to end contact.

"As much as I not only understand and have empathy for their own struggles, I absolutely LOVE them with every fiber of my being—which deep down I think they know. My heart hurts every day, and not a day passes it does not affect me. Inside of me, there is a little girl who desperately wants and needs her Mom and Dad.

"No one wants this, to feel so much pain and not have parents. But their behaviour became more painful than their absence.

"I hope one day they realize, appreciate, and respect why I’ve chosen to remain as quiet as possible. Not exposing specific names, and details of certain experiences to still try to protect them."

Wrestling champion Hulk was married three times throughout his life. He was married to his first wife, Linda Hogan, from 1983 to 2009. The couple welcomed two children together; Brooke and Nick.

Things fell apart in 2009 when Hulk's affair with Brooke's best friend Christiane Plante came to light.

A year on from his divorce from Linda, Hulk married makeup artist Jennifer McDaniel. The pair were wed for 11 years until 2021, and things allegedly came to an end over a sex tape scandal involving Hulk and another woman.

He confirmed his divorce from Jennifer after sharing photos of himself and his then-girlfriend Sky Daily. The pair then wed in 2023, two months after announcing their engagement.

Police in Florida have confirmed the launch of a medical investigation into the wrestling star's death.

During a press conference on Thuesday, Major Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department explained: "The Clearwater Police Department is conducting a medical investigation, which is standard in these types of cases. There are no signs of foul play or uspicious activity related to this call for service at this time."

WWE star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson called Hulk Hogan a 'childhood hero' as he paid a moving tribute to the late wrestling star.

The 53 year old movie star shared a video of their classic WrestleMania match in 2002, which sees the pair stare at eachother before looking into the crowd and The Rock bodyslams Hulk before the the theatrical fight descends between the pair.

In the caption, Dwayne shared a touching story about Hulk, revealing the pair had a connection before he entered the wrestling world. The actor penned: "Rest in Peace, Terry Bollea aka The Immortal Hulk Hogan

"To millions of little kids you were a childhood hero - myself included. In 1984, I gave you your “HULKSTER” headband back, in the locker room in Madison Square Garden - I was the lucky kid caught it when you threw it in the crowd. You were wrestling “Mr Wonderful”, Paul Orndorff that night in the main event. You were shocked and so happy after the match because you told me that was your very last headband and if it weren’t for me, you’d have no way of getting that exact one made again. You promised me that you would get more made and give me a Hulkster headband of my own as a thank you gift.
"A month later in Madison Square Garden, you did just that. You kept your word, with a handshake and a “thanks kid”.
And that meant the world to that little 12 year old boy.

Hulk Hogan 'got tired easily' in his final weeks as a close friend detailed the WWE icon's health before his death aged 71.

A source close to the wrestler claimed Hulk knew he was struggling with a 'weak heart' in his final weeks. The Mirror reached out to the late star's reps for comment.

The source said to MailOnline: "He was suffering from shortness of breath, got tired easily, had lost a lot of weight and was on oxygen."

Vince McMahon has declared Hulk Hogan as "the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME" after his death at the age of 71. The wrestling icon, real name Terry Bollea, died Thursday following a cardiac arrest.

Hogan was a 12-time world champion and later a TV personality but he and McMahon, the former chief of the WWE, were both crucial in the brand's incredible rise. The pair didn't always see eye-to-eye with their relationship including a number of incidents.

The wrestler testified in McMahon's steroid trial in the 1990s, which led to the two not speaking. Hogan then walked out on the WWE to sign with rivals WCW and didn't return until 2002, after the company failed to take off.

It's been reported medics were called to Hulk's home in Clearwater, Florida early on Thursday morning.

Hogan was the main draw for the first-ever WrestleMania in 1985 and was a regular for years in its most popular event, facing everyone from Andre The Giant and Randy Savage to The Rock. He also faced company chairman Vince McMahon.

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, was a leading figure in wrestling during the 1980s and won six WWE Championships.

Clearwater police department in Florida said officers and fire crews responded to a "medical-related call" shortly before 10am on Thursday.

One of WWE's superstars, Glenn "Kane" Jacobs, writes: "Hulk Hogan was a true legend.

"I was fortunate to work with him a couple of times... It was easy to do a Hulkster impersonation when, like millions of guys my age, I'd practiced it in the mirror a thousand times growing up."

Following his professional wrestling career, Jacobs went on to be elected mayor of Knox County in 2018.

However, his health has been a topic of concern after radio host Bubba the Love Sponge claimed that his health was deteriorating; the legendary wrestler underwent neck surgery in May before having another "pretty serious" heart procedure a month later. Following the news of Hogan's death, Officer Nate Burnside of the Clearwater Police Department issued a statement.

Triple H has said Hulk Hogan helped create the legacy of WWE.

"There was no one like The Hulkster and there very well may never be another. My family sends their condolences to his family, friends, and fans."

Brooke Shields has shared a tribute to Hulk, who appeared in her 1990s sitcom, Suddenly Susan.

The actress said: "Rest easy, Hulk. This moment and his entire guest episode on ‘Suddenly Susan’ were a true highlight. Sending love to all of his loved ones today."

Vince McMahon has spoken out following Hulk's death, and he didn't hold back.

Hogan and McMahon were key figures in the rise of WWE, but the pair didn't always see eye-to-eye and had a turbulent relationship. Despite their issues, following Hulk's death, McMahon said: "The world lost a treasure today. Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world. He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.

"His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled - and made him the consummate performer. He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved. He leaves us with one of his favourite expressions, 'Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.' Today, we pray for him."

Taking to Hulk's official Instagram page, his family confirmed the WWE star died surrounded by his nearest and dearest.

Sharing a snap of the late wrestler in his heyday, they said: "It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend.

"Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones. At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends.

"May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades. He will be missed, but never forgotten."

The Clearwater Police Department has said that there were no signs of foul play or suspicious activity surrounding Hulk's death.

Hulk's friend, President Donald Trump, has praised the wrestler, saying he had the "biggest heart."

In a social media post, the President said: "We lost a great friend today, the 'Hulkster'. Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart.

"He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive. To his wife, Sky, and family, we give our warmest best wishes and love. Hulk Hogan will be greatly missed!"

Hulk looked very different in the weeks leading up to his death.

In May, the wrestling star appeared on screens in his final TV appearance, and his transformation left viewers concerned. Social media erupted with commentary about the wrestling legend’s look. Known for his signature bronze glow, fans insisted that Hogan’s skin appeared to be unusually aged suddenly.

Comments online were relentless as one viewer mocked at the time: “Tell Hulk Hogan his face is dirty, clean that soot off." Another echoed: "Does anyone believe this is Hulk Hogan?”

Vice President JD Vance has revealed he grew up idolizing the wrestler, before becoming pals. In a statement, he said: "Hulk Hogan was a great American icon. One of the first people I ever truly admired as a kid. The last time I saw him, we promised we'd get beers together next time we saw each other. The next time will have to be on the other side, my friend! Rest in peace."

Broadcaster Piers Morgan, who once interviewed Hulk, has branded the WWE star the "most iconic" wrestler.

In a statement shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, he said: "RIP Hulk Hogan - the most iconic wrestler in history, a wonderful character, and in person, a far gentler, charming, intelligent man far removed from his snarling beast ring (and Rocky movie!) persona. Sad news."

Taking to Instagram, Hollywood legend Sylvester shared a snap of himself and Hulk, who he appeared alongside in Rocky III in 1982.

The actor said: "I had the pleasure of meeting this brilliant personality and showman when he was 26 years old. He was absolutely wonderful and his amazing skill made Rocky three incredibly special. My heart breaks. I think that he's gone…"
