The Golden Globes were the first ceremony to kick off the glitzy awards season that awaits us over the next month before we reach the iconic Oscars. But another movie awards ceremony ahead of us is the Critics' Choice Awards.

Historically, the Critics' Choice Movie Awards are the most accurate predictor of the Oscars nominations.

It honours the best in cinematic achievement and we already know Claire Foy will accept the #SeeHer Award, while The Big Bang Theory creator Chuck Lorre will receive the Critics' Choice Creative Achievement Award.

Nominations were announced last month (Monday December 10) and Olivia Colman's comedy The Favourite leads the way with a huge 14 nominations followed by Black Panther with 12, First Man with 10 and Mary Poppins Returns, Vice and Lady Gaga's A Star Is Born all with nine nominations each.

The 24th annual Critics' Choice Awards will be on Sunday January 13, meaning for those in the UK it will be on Monday January 14 from 12am - 3am.

How can I watch it?

If you're in the US then you can watch it live on The CW Network from 7-10pm ET.

It's sad news for those in the UK as it won't be televised and won't be live-streamed on any online or social media platforms.

Taye Diggs who currently stars in The CW's series, All American will host the ceremony this year.
