Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has revealed that her mum has now been diagnosed with skin cancer, three years after battling breast cancer. The 35-year-old mum of two has firmly secured a glittering career for herself since appearing on the Newcastle reality TV show in 2011, until her last appearance in 2024.

But aside from her success on screen, her personal life has taken a turn for the worse. In a recent interview, Charlotte revealed that the disease was picked up on her mother Letitia's face, but the family are waiting on biopsy results.

She explained: "She has got a little bit of skin cancer on her face, unfortunately. She's getting it tested. It was only a recent thing that was just picked up on. "

Charlotte added to the Daily Mail: "She's had her biopsy and we're just awaiting the results, so hopefully we're gonna be able to stay cancer-free again because it should just be a simple operation."

Letitia's skin cancer diagnosis was first picked up over the summer. And taking to her social media, she told her followers that she found out she had the disease on her face just moments before heading off on holiday.

She told her fans: "I had a bit of a shock, I went to the hospital about three hours before I was due to board a plane and found out I have skin cancer on my face..."She added: "It is not great and certainly not what I wanted to hear either, as I do actually wear factor 50. Obviously, I am gutted."

In a separate interview, Charlotte said that creating the fashion brand Pepper Girls Club which she co-owns with her mum, allowed Letitia to focus on something other than the disease and treatment.

Back in 2019, Charlotte invested £300,000 into the business as she wanted to give her mum independence after being made redundant - but then COVID emerged and halted its progress.

But they battled on and have managed to make it a success. In an emotional interview, Charlotte told The Sun: "Throughout her breast cancer journey and her chemotherapy, she always came into work, she always wanted to (be) involved in every launch that we did, and she was so excited."

Earlier in the interview she said: "I purely did it for my mum. My mum’s my best friend, so when she was made redundant, I wanted to be able to build something with my mum to keep her in a job and just to give her a bit of an easier life than having to go back into a full-time job."

While working for the clothing brand, Charlotte said her mum appeared full of life and had a spring in her step as she loves "life in the warehouse, picking and packing."

Despite the agonising wait of her results, Letitia posted an image of the skin cancer and captioned the post saying: "This is basically on a little post of news I wasn't expecting before I 3 hours before I boarded a flight [sic]'. So the previous pic is a low-grade skin cancer found out 4 hrs before I boarded a flight, and to say I was rocked shocked me. I dont use sunbeds I wear 50...

She went on to say: "On face 30factor on body and I not been anywhere lately apart from OZ which I feel is where this has started from! Result maybe remove and skin graft as it quite a large area #gutted #sunscrean #protect I am gutted I really am!"
