Gordan Ramsay has revealed what was ‘tough’ about his daughter Holly’s wedding to Adam Peaty in a candid insight into his family’s hectic Christmas period.

The model and 25-year-old daughter of Michelin-starred chef and TV personality Gordon, married Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, 30, on Saturday (December 27) in Bath Abbey.

It was an occasion with lots of stars in attendance to see Holly and Adam say ‘I do’. Among them was former Manchester footballer Sir David Beckham, his Spice Girl wife Victoria Beckham, and their youngest children Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

Gordon had a big part to play on the day, captured by photographers walking hand-in-hand with his daughter as they entered the church. However, Adam's mother Caroline and father Mark were missing from the ceremony amid a reported family fall-out.

With the ins and outs of the ceremony being held close to the guests’ chests, Gordon and his other daughter Tilly Ramsay appeared on This Morning on Monday (January 5). The pair joined presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley in the programme’s new central London studio.

Asked about the wedding, Tilly noted: “It was so emotional but incredible to see her and Adam so happy. It was a big day for all of us!”

Discussing his father-of-the-bride's speech, Gordon said: “It’s tough, honestly. Being the dad with three daughters, you dream of that moment and that moment arrives and you’re just like a hot mess.

“But, the speech was perfect, it went well and you’ve got to find that… You’ve got to be warm, emotional… It’s a tough gig.”

Tilly continued: “Honestly, I think it was Christmas Eve, I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it, [his speech]. Going through everything but no tweaks were needed, it was perfect. It made everybody cry.”

Inspired by royalty, Holly wore a stunning Elie Saab lace dress paired with a lace veil, shell-shaped Chanel minaudiere and Amina Muaddi heels, which her husband Adam bought for her as a Christmas present last year.

Once the ceremony was complete, Holly quickly changed into her mother’s wedding gown from 1996 for the big reception at Kin House, entering the dinner to Take A Chance on Me by Abba.

“Honestly it was a bit of a shock because she had it on for the majority of the night… before joking: “I don’t know why you need to change three times,” Gordon said.

Teasing her dad, Tilly pointed out: “Let her do it Dad, it doesn’t matter!” Gordon replied: “I know but three times? That’s three times the bill.”

After Tilly said he wasn’t correct as ‘one [of the dresses] was mums, Gordon asked her if she would also wear her mum’s dress. Tilly told him: “I would love to.” Gordon joked: “You’ve got to get engaged!”. Laughing, Tilly replied: “Moving on Dad!”

Tilly also shared during the conversion that she cooked Christmas lunch this year for the Ramsay clan: “Christmas was lovely, Christmas was wonderful, I cooked Christmas lunch… Obviously dad had to slice the turkey for that glory moment!”

Later in the show, the father-daughter duo were back in the kitchen together to make a delicious egg-fried rice and teriyaki salmon together.
