Manchester United announced on April 21 2022 that Erik ten Hag would take over as manager and the end of that season. He is the second Dutchman to manage the club after Louis van Gaal and the fifth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. United paid Ajax £1.7million to release Ten Hag from his contract.
