Plenty of Liverpool players have sent messages of support to Conor Bradley after the right-back posted a statement on social media following his season-ending injury. The 22-year-old picked up a knee problem late in the clash against Arsenal, which required him to be stretchered off, with concerns surrounding his well-being, having already suffered from a few other injury lay-offs so far.

While Bradley avoided the worst-case scenario of picking up an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury, he did still suffer a significant knee injury that will keep him out until next season, in another frustrating blow in his early career. Taking to Instagram, the defender said: "A big blow but surgery is done so the comeback starts now. It won’t be for a little while but I already can’t wait to get back playing for @liverpoolfc and @northernireland. Thanks for all the support."

Plenty of Liverpool players were in the comments to show their support, as Milos Kerkez was one of the first to simply post a heart in response.

Ibrahima Konate sent a heartfelt reply, saying: "You will come back stronger my Little Brother," accompanied with some hearts after.

Another of the experienced senior group, Andy Robertson, joined the messages by saying: "Comeback starts now mate," while the official Liverpool account added: "We’re all with you, Conor."

Rio Ngumoha, Konstantinos Tsimikas and Curtis Jones all commented varying emojis, showing their support, while Stefan Bajcetic said: "We are with you brother."

It shows the unity among the dressing room to show support for their teammate, who will now begin the road to recovery, hopeful of returning next season in top form.

Bradley was battling it out for the starting right-back spot in absence of Trent Alexander-Arnold, following his exit to Real Madrid in the summer.

The Northern Ireland international was up against summer signing Jeremie Frimpong for the position, though both have been out on the sidelines at different periods in the campaign.

That has led Arne Slot to pick the likes of Joe Gomez, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Curtis Jones at right-back, before the pair returned in the past month.

"First of all, let’s talk about him because Trent Alexander-Arnold is leaving and Conor Bradley already replaced him a few times last season really well, and the year before I came he also had a good spell," Slot said when discussing the defender's injury troubles.

"He felt and I felt the same, this is going to be your time and he missed so many games already because of mainly hamstring issues and coming back from that and being in a team, progressing, getting better and better, staying fit and then something like this happens.

"In a season before it started where he thought: 'This has to be my season' - and I thought the same - to maybe play six, seven or eight games is a big blow for him and I also think about Northern Ireland trying to reach the World Cup.

"So it is an enormous blow for him but as a result of that it is a big blow for us as well, because I hope you don't think I would like to play Dominik Szoboszlai as a right full-back."
