A manhunt is under way for a 25-year-old man with an βIrish accentβ suspected of robbery and burglary offences in the UK.

In a statement, officers from the Kirklees District Crime Team are urgently seeking to trace Michael Moorhouse, who is wanted in connection with a robbery and a separate burglary.

Police are appealing directly to the public for information that could lead to his arrest.

Moorhouse is described as being approximately 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with short light brown hair, and is known to have an Irish accent.
Investigators believe Moorhouse may be in the Huddersfield area and are urging anyone who has seen him, or who knows of his whereabouts, to contact police immediately.
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101 or via the forceβs online live chat service, quoting crime reference number 13250656294.
