Gardaí have launched a witness appeal after shots were fired at a home in a Limerick housing estate.
At around 5am on Thursday, January 8, shots were fired at a home in the John Carew Park area, Limerick city. No injuries have been reported at this time. A technical examination has been conducted.
Gardaí said that investigations are ongoing and are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to an incident where a firearm was discharged in front of a domestic residence in the John Carew Park area, Limerick city on Thursday morning, 8 January at approximately 5am.”
They added: “Any persons who were in Maigue Way, John Carew Park and the adjoining area between 4:45 am and 5:15 am on Thursday morning and who may have any information are asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
“Anyone with camera footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available.
“Gardaí can be contacted at Roxboro Garda Station on 061 214340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.”
