Primark has issued an urgent product recall over one of its products as it poses a risk to the public. The clothing and homeware brand has urged anyone who has the products to stop using them straight away.
Primark Baby Bear and Balloon Soother Clips have beenr recalled due to a choking risk. The Office for Product Safety and Standards say the item is not compliant with the relevant safety standards specific to soother clips. The straps are used to keep dummies or soothers close to babies by attaching them to their clothes or bib.
However, the item has been recalled from customers. The recall relates to the 2pk Soother Clips - Baby Bear sold between June and August 2025 and the 2pk Soother Clips - Balloon sold from March to September 2025.
They have a kimball number of 80010 for the Balloon version and 69489 for the Baby Bear ones. The Office for Product Safety and Standards said: "The product presents a risk of choking as it is not compliant with the relevant safety standards specific to soother clips.
"This means it may pose a choking risk to young children, particularly those under 36 months of age who have a natural tendency to explore objects by placing them in their mouths. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005."
