The world’s biggest car is so huge that it fits an apartment inside – and you need to climb a ladder just to get in.

It stands at an incredible 21ft tall and the vehicle, which is called the Hummer H1 X3, is powered by four diesel engines. Despite now being held in a museum, it has been road tested, with the car being able to reach a maximum speed of 19mph.

Car reviewers Vehicle Virgins visited the hummer at the Sharjah Off Road History Museum that is 30km north of Dubai and they were blown away by its mammoth size.

Looking up at it, the content creator said: “I mean, are you kidding me? I can almost go underneath without crouching. When have you ever seen anything like this in your entire life? Inside there is a bathroom, there is a sink and it requires you to stand up when you drive it.”

One person joked that it would be perfect for an apocalypse (Image: Sharjah Off Road History Museum)

He added: “Who thinks of this? This hummer is so big that you don’t actually use these doors. I imagine they open, look at the size of the lock. You actually go underneath and there is a ladder right here that allows you to climb up inside of the hummer.

“When have you seen a vehicle where you have to use a ladder to climb underneath it to get inside? I mean, I have never seen a vehicle this big in my entire life. This thing is just absolutely ridiculous.”

And if you are wondering who owns such a vehicle that has two stories and a guest space, that would be Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.

And while he now has it on display at the museum in the United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh did drive it on the road when it was first built.

Incredibly, it is three times larger than a standard hummer, and 27 times the volume. And as well as being 21.6ft tall, it is also 46ft long and 20ft wide.

Billionaire Al Nahyan, who is known as the Rainbow Sheikh, is a member of the Emirati royal family, the richest royal family in the world worth $300bn(£222bn). He owns owns a staggering 718 vehicles, earning him the Guinness World record for the largest 4×4 vehicle collection.

The Hummer

But as for his colossal hummer, the frame of a U.S. Army LARC-LX steel-hulled amphibious cargo vehicle had to be used to help build it.

The top floor, which looks more like a fancy villa, consists of a private guest area while the bottom has a toilet, kitchen and sink.

A video recently surfaced on social media showing the monster hummer and the content creator claimed a single tyre cost around £18,500.
