- Police were called to Kiln Lane, near Emley, Huddersfield, at around 4.20pm on Wednesday
- The location is a wooded area in a rural location with farm buildings nearby
- A worker had been clearing waste ground when they found what looked like bones
- Forensic specialists and other West Yorkshire Police officers attended the scene
- The bones were identified by specialists as human remains
- It is believed the bones have been there "for some time", police said
- A police scene remains in place while further analysis of the bones is carried out
- Crime scene officers and other police staff were at the scene on Thursday morning
