A restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh's city centre appears to have 'permanently closed' after it's webpage disappeared from online. Yo! Sushi on Princes Street has locked it's doors, with windows also blacked out, with bosses confirming its permanent closure.

It is understood the eatery was open last weekend to customers, but on Monday, January 5, the doors were locked. The page dedicated to the Princes Street branch has also been removed from the Yo! Sushi website.

Images of the store show the shop with a 'we're closed' sign on the font door, with the front entryway in complete darkness. The front desk appears to have been cleared, and the first floor windows, where customers would enjoy people watching as they enjoyed their meal, appear to have been blacked out.
β
When searching for the restaurant on Google, the search engine has the venue listed as "permanently closed" and customers on social media shared that they had received an email from the chain telling them the local branch was now shut.
A spokesperson for the firm confirmed the restaurant would not be reopening, adding: βRegrettably, YO! has taken the decision to close its restaurant on Princes Street. We would like to thank all our customers who have dined with us over the years, and YO! products are still available from our nearby sushi kiosks at the Tesco superstores on Broughton Road, Meadow Place and Hermiston Gait.
βWe have contacted all affected colleagues at the restaurant, and our immediate focus is on supporting them at this time.β
