As Edinburgh welcomed a number of new restaurants, shops and pubs in 2025, it was also the year many businesses sadly closed their doors - including some that had become part of the city's fabric.
As the capital's pub and restaurant scene continues to be one of the most envied with plenty of incredible spots, a large number of venues will be missed going into 2026.
Some decided to reduce their working hours while others tried something new to bring customers in, though unfortunately not all were able to carry on.
