The Old Spot on Bath Avenue was hailed for its "traditional, immensely satisfying food; a buzzing atmosphere; and some of the friendliest, most genuine service around". Inspectors also praised the desserts, singling out "the excellently crafted bread and butter pudding".

Irish-Filipino restaurant Kaldero has also been added to the guide. Located beneath the Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, inspectors highlighted its "infectious buzz" and "warm atmosphere and flavour-packed cooking".

Blackthorn in Galway was also enjoyed by inspectors and has been added to the prestigious list. Describing the venue as "a bright, airy spot with a Nordic influence", inspectors praised the restaurant's pheasant with cavolo nero and whole black sole with brown butter and capers.

The Michelin Guide now features 115 restaurants in the Republic and 15 in "Belfast and surroundings". The updated guide for 2026 will launch on February 9 at the Convention Centre in Dublin.
