The Howth Guinness, Oyster and Music Festival is back for another year with 25 free gigs across 7 venues, plus ticketed headline shows featuring Betty Boo, Jack Lukeman and more

Following last year's success, the Howth Guinness, Oyster & Music Festival is making its return to the fishing village on Dublin's doorstep.
The lively festival brings together live music, seafood, and many people's favourite stout. There are over 25 free events taking place from Feb 27 to March 1, as well as some ticketed celebrations. Known for its seafood, Howth has made its heritage as a medieval fishing village a central focus of the festival.
Venues throughout the area will be presenting the finest oysters accompanied by their own signature creations. The Abbey Tavern will play host to The East Coast Oyster Shucking Championships alongside the Oyster Master Class with Oyesome.
The East Coast Oyster Shucking Championships will be a qualifier for the National Oyster Shucking Championship, and will be hosted by guest MC Marcus O’Laoire. The event takes place at The Abbey Tavern on Saturday at 7pm. €11 from tickets.ie
The Howth Oyster Shucking Championships will be a qualifier for the East Coast Oyster Shucking Championship. Also taking place at The Abbey Tavern, this starts on Saturday at 2.30pm. This event will be free for anyone who wants to go and watch.
Chef and Oyster expert Sarah Browne will conduct a one-hour workshop on the Sunday at 2pm in the Abbey Tavern. Places are limited and tickets are available for €45.
For music lovers, there are seven distinctive venues offering different atmospheres and sounds dotted around the village and Howth hill. Featuring two ticketed headline performances at the historic Abbey Tavern and another at The Summit Inn, this festival guarantees a memorable weekend.
Get ready for an impressive music lineup, including:
- 80s legends Leslie & Flo in their new show Natural Women at the Abbey Tavern. Friday at 8pm. Tickets €25 from tickets.ie
- Multi-platinum artist Betty Boo plus support taking place at the Summit Inn. The show kicks off on Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets are €22.50 from tickets.ie
- Singer Jack Lukeman at the Abbey Tavern on Sunday at 7pm. Tickets €35 from tickets.ie

- Acoustic Shows on The Garden Stage at The Harbour Bar with Shobsy, The Kickbacks, Seamus Harty, Sam Earlwood, Dogs, Paul McDonnell.
- Rhythm & Blues on the Smokin’ Stage at McNeill’s with Colm Skwirbat, Crazycrow, Lighting Phil and the Sinisters, Bree Harris Band.
- Jazz at Wrights-Findlater with Richie Buckley Organ Quartet, Bobby Mc sings Sinatra, Des Hopkins Dixieland Jazz Band, Lee Meehan Organ Trio.
- Bluegrass Sessions at O’Connells with Yum Yum Old Time String Band, Whistle, The Blue Light Smugglers.
