John Eustace hopes to give new Derby County signing Oscar Fraulo some minutes in the FA Cup clash against Leeds United on Sunday.

Fraulo sealed his move to Derby from Borussia Monchengladbach at the start of the month and has been given time to adapt to his new surroundings.

The 22-year-old Danish midfielder is now set to be part of the squad which faces the Whites in the FA Cup third round.

Asked whether he could be involved, Eustace said: "Oscar has looked really good in the last week and he's certainly ahead of schedule, so hopefully we can give him some minutes in the FA Cup.

"The club has done a lot of hard work on bringing the boy in. We're really excited that he's here now and he's going to be part of the squad going forward.

"We're looking forward to working with him and seeing what he can bring.

"He's a very energetic box-to-box midfielder. He comes with a very good reputation. He can also play as a defensive midfielder. We're lucky to have him."

Facing Leeds would undoubtedly be a debut to remember in what is set to be fiery atmosphere with both clubs sharing a unique rivalry.

And Eustace said he is looking forward to what should be a terrific occasion.

"It's a fantastic day and I think the FA Cup is the biggest competition in the world," he said.

"I certainly enjoy putting teams out to be positive, and it's a great spectacle.

"Leeds at home, great history to the game as well, so anyone being part of it will be ready."
