Derby County will hope to begin the New Year with a bang when they face promotion-chasing Middlesbrough at Pride Park tomorrow.
After losing to Leicester City on Monday night, the Rams face another stiff examination of their credentials against a Boro team trying to hunt down leaders Coventry.
Boro secured a 2-1 victory over Derby earlier this season when Patrick Agyemang scored early on only for ex-Ram Morgan Whittaker to hit a late winner.
Derby do have some injury problems for the visit of Kim Hellberg's side who have won two out of their last five games.
The latest injury worry for Derby was Bobby Clark who had to be replaced in the second half of the 2-1 defeat against the Foxes on Monday night.
Here's the latest from the treatment table in what has been a busy week of fixtures.
David Ozoh
The midfielder still remains sidelined due to a thigh injury he sustained against Blackburn earlier this season.
The on-loan Crystal Palace man is therefore out of tomorrow's game against Boro.
Hopefully, he can be in a position to push for a return next month.
Carlton Morris
Derby have coped relatively well without the services of the striker who looked odds on to hit 20 goals for the season until he picked up an ankle injury against Watford.
The forward has been earmarked for a return in February although will need to be handled carefully after being on the sidelines.
Max Johnston
The Scotland international is another player who is not quite ready to make his return after a hamstring injury he sustained against QPR.
Johnston has been back on the grass, but hasn't quite had the all clear to make a full return to the squad.
Hopefully, he will in a position to compete for a place in the squad in the coming weeks.
Bobby Clark
The on-loan RB Salzburg midfielder had to be replaced in the second half of the defeat to Leicester City due to a knee issue.
Given the short turnaround in between fixtures, the midfielder has to be considered a doubt.
