Celtic leapfrogged Rangers to move into second spot after a hard-fought win at Falkirk.

The Hoops were second-best for most of the first-half before Benjamin Nygren broke the deadlock against the run of play moments before the interval.

The Super Swede managed to flick home Arne Engels' inswinging corner - and put Celts on their way to a crucial three points.

It was a real sucker-punch for the high-flying Bairns, who wasted a flurry of chances.

But it was a monumental win for Martin O'Neill's men as they got the job done to nudge above Gers on goal difference.
