Jesse Wood claims he is surviving on barely £1,000 and facing difficulties securing employment following his separation from Fearne Cotton. The 49-year-old musician, son of Rolling Stones icon Ronnie Wood, made the claims during a court hearing over speeding allegations.
With a potential driving ban looming, Jesse informed magistrates that in the year since the breakdown of his relationship, he has found it increasingly challenging to obtain work and is currently relying on his life savings to get by. His court attendance follows an incident where he was detected travelling at 27mph through a West London zone with a 20mph limit last April.
Jesse, who is father to Rex and Honey with Fearne, also has two elder children, Arthur and Lola, from an earlier relationship. During proceedings, he outlined his employment difficulties, stating: "I was due to be employed in 2024 but it got delayed. At the moment I'm living off my savings and I am looking to get employment."
He subsequently expressed remorse for his behaviour, acknowledging this marked the fourth occasion he had been caught speeding. "I would like to say I accept responsibility for what I have done," he told the court.
Prosecutor Geraldine Dickinson informed magistrates: "This was at 12.45pm in the afternoon on April 7 last year. He used his vehicle on the A4 Cromwell Road which was subject to a 20mph speed restriction. The speed recorded when the vehicle activated the safety camera was 27mph.", reports the Mirror.
The hearing additionally heard that Jesse had already accumulated nine penalty points for comparable speeding violations in the twelve months preceding this latest offence. Jesse received a six-month driving ban following three additional penalty points.
His original fine and costs totalled £255. Presiding Magistrate Richard Sanden informed him: "Because you pleaded guilty you get one third off the fine.
"It would have been £134. That has been reduced to 89. You will also pay a surcharge of £36 and a contribution towards court costs of £130."
Jesse has since moved forward romantically and is currently in a relationship with former Made In Chelsea personality Gemma Gregory. The couple made their romance official in April 2025 and appear to be going from strength to strength.
He parted ways with Fearne following a decade of marriage in December 2024. Taking to her Instagram Stories at the time, she informed her supporters about the separation from Jesse.
Fearne has also embarked on a fresh relationship. She is seeing Rivals director Elliot Hegarty, 53, with the pair initially photographed sharing a passionate kiss in Soho last February.
She wrote: "It is with a heavy heart that | let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been, and will always be, our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time."
