A much-loved country pub that was devastated by a huge fire will reopen under new management.

The community in Fillongley, Warwickshire, was distraught when a terrible blaze ripped through the historic Cottage Inn back in 2024.

At the time firefighters confirmed 50 per cent of the first floor and the roof of the building had been consumed by fire - later it was revealed the blaze started with a tumble dryer.

As a result, the Black Hall Lane-based pub was forced to close and has not reopened since.

Last year the building was sold, and new owners have a plan to get the pub back up and running.

CoventryLive has spoken to the new owners who've confirmed work is in progress to strip the pub back to brick - scaffolding is due to go up shortly so work renovating the venue can start in earnest.
