A second person has been charged with murder following the death of Kelvin Ward, 50, in Castle Bromwich last week. Leighton Williams, aged 28 from North Roundhay in Stechford, was arrested on Friday and will appear before at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today (April 24).
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was also charged with Mr Wardβs murder and violent disorder yesterday. He will also appear at court today.
West Midlands Police continue to appeal for anyone with information which could assist the investigation to come forward.
Mr Ward's family last week paid tribute to the 'loving and vibrant' father. In a statement released through West Midlands Police they said: "Kelvin was a loving partner, father, son, brother and friend to many. He was very well loved, vibrant, full of life and will be greatly missed."
Flowers left at the scene pay tribute to a 'true gentleman'.
