Police stopped a suspicious Mercedes on the A444 near the M6 eight hours after a tip-off from the public. Nuneaton and Bedworth officers said that they received information about the car being linked to suspected drug dealing.
They had looked for the vehicle but had not found it. Then, in the early hours of Saturday morning (January 10). they clocked the car.
Officers spotted the vehicle after it tried to give us the slip – we were about to call it a night when it suddenly pulled out right in front of us," the local police team explained. They managed to stop the car.

Officers searched inside and found an disclosed amount of suspected Class A and Class B drugs as well as a large amount of cash. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Milton Keynes, was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and B drugs with Intent to supply.
