Police have issued an update about a woman in her late 70s who was found with serious injuries after an incident in Coventry.
As previously reported, emergency services were called to a quiet residential street on Tuesday afternoon (13 Jan). An elderly woman received trauma care at the scene before she was rushed to hospital.
On Wednesday police confirmed they were investigating the incident are were keen to hear from potential witnesses.

Asked for an update on Thursday, a spokesman for West Midlands Police told Coventry Live the injured woman "remains in a critical condition in hospital".
"We are appealing for information after a woman was found with serious injuries in Coventry," a spokesman for Coventry Police said on Wednesday. "Just after 4.25pm yesterday afternoon (13 Jan) a 78-year-old woman was found in James Green Road with significant head injuries which are believed to be life threatening. She was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Our investigation is in its early stages and we are carrying out enquiries to find out exactly what happened.
"Were you in the area? Did you see what happened? Do you have any dash cam footage that may assist us? Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting log 3896 of 13 Jan."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman previously told Coventry Live: "We were called to an incident on James Green Road in Tile Hill, Coventry at 4.24pm, yesterday, and sent an ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Critical Care Car to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found a woman in a serious condition and immediately began administering advanced trauma care before conveying her under emergency driving conditions to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire."
