Shipston-on-Stour is a town in south Warwickshire, in Stratford-on-Avon district. Once the location of a significant sheep market, Shipston has a population of 4,500. The late Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb mentions Shipston-on-Stour in lyrics on his 1970 solo album, recalling how he and brother Barry rode horses there as youngsters.
