Storm Goretti has caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to Cornwall Pirates' stadium in Penzance.
β
The after effects of the brutal storm are still being felt, as wind speeds of up to 127mph brought down power lines, leaving thousands without power, as well as felling trees all over the county.
β
The Mennaye was caught up in the severe weather, with gusts of wind tearing up chunks of the Main Grandstand roof.
β
A photo shared by the rugby team showed the extent of the damage.
In a statement, the team said its next match against Ampthill will go ahead as planned, with both Redruth RFC and Camborne RFC offering to host the Pirates if needed.
In a post on social media, the team said: "We hope everyone is staying safe amidst Storm Goretti, but unfortunately, The Mennaye and the Main Grandstand have fallen victim, with some significant damage.
β
"We are working closely with Penzance&Newlyn RFC and are extremely grateful to how brilliant they have been already.
"Our next match will go ahead as planned, with Redruth RFC and Camborne RFC willing to host us should we need to and subject to RFU clearance."
Speaking to BBC Sport, chief executive Sally Pettipher said "great sections" of the roof have been blown off and buried in the pitch.
β
"The first thing we're going to do is secure the site, so I really do implore people not to come down, it's dangerous," she said.
The damage could cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to repair.
People in Cornwall were urged to work from home if they can today and only travel if they absolutely must.

Storm Goretti has torn through the county, bringing violent wind gusts reportedly in excess of 120mph, knocking down trees and power lines leaving almost 50,000 properties without electricity.
