One of Bristol’s most iconic restaurants has reopened following a huge refurbishment.

Waterside institution, Riverstation, is kitted out with a new look after undergoing a three-week makeover.

Thousands have been spent on improving the venue, which offers incredible views out on the water, since the independent restaurant and bar was taken over by London pub company Young’s.

General manager Jarryd James, who has worked at Riverstation for the last 10 years, was kind enough to give us a sneak peek behind the scenes tour at the newly-refurbished restaurant.

“We have looked to soften things and add more colour and warmth downstairs while we’ve looked to celebrate what we are good at upstairs,” Jarryd said.

“In terms of the drinks offering; we have added a lot more draft beers, a wide variety of delicious cocktails and wines.

“The food will be a great seasonal blend of dishes which we are proud of.”

The Grove-based restaurant and bar opened for business again this afternoon and Jarryd is excited to see what customers make of the Riverstation.

He said: “Our team is very proud of our new look and we truly hope our loyal clientele like it as much as we do.”
