Bristol City slipped to back-to-back defeat in the Championship as they were beaten by Watford at Vicarage Road.
Ryan Andrews' second-half goal secured all three points for the home side as the Hornets forward smashed home from just inside the box early in the second period.
The Robins came close to levelling things up late on when Scott Twine tried his luck from long range, but the Reds substitute was denied by the top of the crossbar.
Luke McNally similarly came close in the opening exchanges while Anis Mehmeti had countless opportunities throughout the first half to break the deadlock, but wasn't able to beat Dan Bachmann between the Watford posts.
The defeat sees City slip to 11th in the Championship table, with the gap to the play-off positions now at five points with a home clash against Plymouth Argyle up next for Liam Manning's side.

Six minutes added
Plenty of time for City to find a leveller.

Off the bar!
Scott Twine that would have been incredible. From long range he strikes the bar. That would be a goal of the season contender.

Max Bird is the man replaced by George Earthy. Bit of a surprise to see Bird off.

Change of system
City have reverted to a genuine three at tha back with Twine and Bird as two 10s either side of Mayulu.

Yellow card for Twine
The attacking midfielder is booked almost immediatly after coming on for a pull-back. That didn't take long.

Fally Mayulu and Scott Twine are both on as Nahki Wells and Anis Mehmeti.

Well over from McGuane
The City midfielder gets the ball on the edge of the box and attempts to place it, only to see his effort sail well over the bar.

Dangerous City free-kick
The Robins have a free-kick on the edge of the box after a heavy challenge. The away end want a red card but the referee is less convinvced.

City substitue
Hirakawa's night is over after a tough evening. Haydon Roberts is the man to replace him coming on at what appears to be right wing back.

City have responded well since the goal
City have tried to get going again since the opener and for the most part have done well. They'll feel unfortunate to be behind here.

So close for City
How has that not gone in again? Bachmann does excellently to get down to save Jason Knight's effort from the resulting corner. How have City not scored yet?
48Daniel Carter
Deflected over
It's not a bad effort from the resulting free-kick from Bird, but his shot is deflected behind for a corner.
46Daniel Carter
Free-kick for City
Max Bird drifts through the Watford backline brilliantly and is brought down on the edge of the box. That's a dangerous area for the Robins.

No changes for City at the break but Champions League finalist Moussa Sissoko is one for Watford.

Not City related but...
A Watford fan has just won £500 by scoring one of the best goals Vicarage Road has probably ever seen. Nahki Wells-esque

High and wide from Kayembe
The ball breaks to the Watford man on the edge of the box and while he can control it, his effort is miles away from the Robins' goal.

Mehmeti forces another save
Once again, Mehmeti finds space down the left-flank and this time tries his luck with his left foot. Bachmann is once again equal to his effort however.
