Hello and welcome to this afternoon's live blog as Bristol City look to register back-to-back wins for the first time this season against Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
The Reds were last in action seven days ago against Plymouth Argyle at Ashton Gate, with a 4-0 win making sure it was an afternoon to remember for the Robins. However, with the busy festive period on the horizon, the games come thick and fast for Liam Manning's side.
Admittedly, City come into this one as favourites with Pompey rooted to the foot of the Championship table having only won two of their opening 16 matches after being promoted as League One champions last season. However, John Mousinho's side haven't lost either of their last two matches, beating Preston North End at Fratton Park and drawing 2-2 with Swansea City last time out.
It has been just under 13 years since the Robins last visited Fratton Park for a competitive fixture, with the most recent meeting between these two sides coming in 2021 when City beat Portsmouth in the FA Cup under Dean Holden.
Follow along for live updates throughout the afternoon...

The manager's thoughts
We've caught up with Liam Manning following the full-time whistle at Fratton Park and the City boss has told his side they'll have to "suck up" their defeat.

Player ratings have landed
It's hard to suggest anyone has come away from that one with any credit as City were off of the pace from start to finish.

KEY EVENT
Full-time: Portsmouth 3 - 0 Bristol City
Perhaps Bristol City's worst display of the season is brought to an end by the referee's whistle. Manning will want to forget that one in a hurry as the Robins were poor from start to finish.
We'll have all the reaction here...
90+4Daniel Carter
All fizzling out
Neither side wants to play this injury time and the game has well and truly fizzled out. City will want that final whistle to come as soon as possible.
90+1Daniel Carter
Seven minutes added on
I have no idea why it is seven, but City and their fans are being made to suffer here.
87Daniel Carter
Armstrong forces a save
The City striker is slipped through by Hirakawa but is unable to beat the keeper as his shot is comfortably saved.
84Daniel Carter
City corner
The Robins have a chance to at least get a goal here...
80Daniel Carter
Double City change
Sam Bell and Haydon Roberts enter the field with Cam Pring and Anis Mehmeti the two players to make way.
72KEY EVENT
Goal: Portsmouth 3 - 0 Bristol City [Lang]
Game over. The ball is played across the City area and they make no real attempt to cut out the cross and Lang is able to tuck home at the back post. This has been really poor from the Robins.

Over from Hirakawa
The winger cuts onto his left foot and lets fly from distance but can only curl over the bar. He's been one of the few bright sparks so far this afternoon.
62KEY EVENT
Goal: Portsmouth 2 - 0 Bristol City [Murphy]
The hosts double their lead. Knight loses possesion on the edge of his own box again and Josh Murphy is slipped through one-on-one. O'Leary does what he can, but the winger slips under him.
59Daniel Carter
Double City change
George Earthy is introduced in place of McGuane while Armstrong comes on for Wells.
56Daniel Carter
Straight out of play by Knight
The City captain mistimes his pass and misses both Mehmeti and Pring to kick the ball straight out of play. That sort of sums up his afternoon so far.
53Daniel Carter
Foul throw by Vyner
Yes. That genuinely did just happen.
50Daniel Carter
Huge stop from O'Leary
The City keeper comes to the rescue as McNally's pass puts Dickie under pressure. He miscontrols and Pompey pounce, luckily O'Leary denies the forward from close tange to keep it at 1-0.
47Daniel Carter
City corner
Pring does well to get at his man and force a corner in front of the away supporters.

Back underway
We're back underway at Fratton Park. Hopefully, those travelling supporters can suck the ball into the net.

City are back out
Manning has sent the Robins out a little bit early it seems. Wonder what was said at half-time?

Official attendance: 20,415
We've been told that 2,171 travelling fans are in attendance at Fratton Park.
15:46KEY EVENT
Half-time: Portsmouth 1 - 0 Bristol City
City took far too long to get going in that first 45 minutes and can have no complaints heading into the break 1-0 down. Manning is going to have to shake things up to get the Reds back into this.
45+1Daniel Carter
One minute added
There hasn't been any real stoppages so that's not a surprise.
43Daniel Carter
Well over from Mehmeti
The Albanian winger ends up with the ball at his feet in acres of spave following a set-piece routine, but his effort is doing little to trouble Schmid as it sails over the crossbar.
42Daniel Carter
Yellow card for Dozzell
The Portsmouth man goes into the book for a heavy challenge on McGuane as City win a corner.
39Daniel Carter
Mehmeti forces a good save
Bird turns well to find space and slips in Anis Mehmeti who is on the angle. The winger drives an effort towards goal with his left foot and while it forces a good save, it never really looked like going in.
36Daniel Carter
Free-kick wasted
It could have been dangerous, but it wasn't. The resulting free-kick clears everyone and is out for a goal kick.
36Daniel Carter
Pompey win a dangerous free-kick
McGuane is adjudged to have fouled a Portsmouth player on the left-wing and the home side have a free-kick in a very dangeroud area.
35Daniel Carter
Over by Bird
City's first real chance of the game falls at the feet of Max Bird. The attacking midfielder takes aim on his left foot but his curled effort is well over and doesn't trouble Schmid.
34Daniel Carter
Wide from Bishop
The Portsmouth striker flicks his header towards the back post and while it isn't clear if it is a pass or a shot, it drifts well wide of O'Leary's post.
32Daniel Carter
All in City's half
The last few minutes of action has all been in City's half. The Robins have been sloppy in possession and not been able to force Pompey back so far. Something needs to change if the Reds want to take anything from this game.
28Daniel Carter
Portsmouth corner
The hosts break through the City midfield and all the Reds can do is force a corner. This is as uncomfortable as I have seen Manning's side all season/
